In Tana, he struck deals with Rus’ traders, exchanging silks for Baltic amber, its warm, resinous aroma mingling with Somali myrrh in the flickering glow of his ship’s brazier. In Alexandria, trusted traders greeted him with sacred Egyptian lotus blooms, a gift for their cherished ally. But fate turned cruel on his return from Trebizond. Off Sinope’s coast, the Plague Tempest claimed Kadeon and his crew, sinking The Cerulean Star into the anoxic depths of the Azov Rift. In Mamluk markets, he acquired rare resins and tart citrus, their essences evoking the sun-drenched coasts of the Levant. At the Horn of Africa, he bartered for exotic spices, their fiery notes coveted in distant ports. Along the Silk Road, he gathered fragrant delights—jasmine and rose oils, carried from distant gardens. In Damascus, Kadeon traded for indigo-dyed fabrics, their deep blue rivaling the Nile’s cobalt, and fine silks that shimmered like moonlight. Yet, his heart is tethered to the enigma of the past—a hidden void in the Black Sea’s Southern Zone, the Azov Rift. Scientists uncovered an ancient vessel, The Azov, amid whispers of other anoxic wrecks preserved in the abyss. Drawn by fate, Kadeon dove into the Rift’s depths with the aid of Somali pirates, unearthing the Memphis Blue Shard—a relic tied to his ancestral past aboard The Cerulean Star. Now, he traverses the Black Sea’s routes in his hovercraft, The Cerulean Pulse, the shard’s cobalt glow embedded in a cybernetic implant on his wrist, a beacon of history guiding his path through New Byzant’s neon-lit future.

The Process begins in the nigredo - the base notes of myrrh accord, oakmoss, and ancient amber. Dark and earthy, drawn from the Somalia's wild, and the Baltic Sea only to wait in silent in the Black Sea's sunken depths. This is the raw matter, the plague-ridden abyss where Kadeon lay dormant, a resinous shadow awaiting transformation.

The albedo emerges in the heart - Blue Lotus Absolute, the scent's hero, blooms from the Azov Rift's glowing waters, its purity cutting through the dark like the shards blue light. Sacred Frankincense and cedarwood join it, refining the chaos into clarity - Oman's mysticism and Egypt's precision melding in a luminous uplifting accord. This is the whitening, the cleansing flame of rebirth.

Finally. the rubedo - the top notes of bergamot, petit grain, and honey - ignites as golden perfection, a radiant burst from Calabria's sunlit groves. Somali myrrh spiced with centuries of Maritime SilkRoad trade melds in the anoxic depths of the Black Sea. Encased with Baltic amber within the once golden hull of the Cerulean Star, the base notes are awakened from the Azov Rift. A dark earthy crucible.
